Poet to pay visit to Acton area
The poet Suzannah V. Evans is due to appear in 'An Evening of Poetry on National Poetry Day' near Acton at the beginning of October.
This award-winning poet, educator and researcher will be presenting her first collection, 'Under the Blue', coming out on the Bloomsbury Poetry imprint in September. It explores both the beauty and realities of life. Her poems were previously included in Carcanet’s anthology, 'New Poetries VIII'.
The writer of 'Brightwork and Marine Objects / Some Language' and 'All Keyboards are Legitimate: Versions of Jules Laforgue', which she edited, were published by Guillemot Press. Evans also won the Ivan Juritz Prize for Creative Experiment and has read at festivals, as well as been featured on BBC Radio.
Evans will be chatting to Guy Robertson, an author and curator himself, based intermittently in London and Spoleto, Italy. Indeed, 2015 saw him appointed Founding Director of the Mahler & LeWitt Studios. The event will be held amid the 'Howard Hodgkin: In a Public Garden' exhibit.
Adult tickets cost £14.00, although concessions are available. Printing services can prove to be of great value when it comes to the promotion of a stage or theatrical event.
