Windsor tees off in annual golf tourney

Helping Windsor children and youth is about to get a lot more fun, thanks to a fundraiser that will be held at one of the city’s golf courses.

The Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce recently announced that the third annual United Way Golf Tournament is on the way, and it will provide players with a chance to compete in one of the last tournaments of the season. The game will begin with a late morning shotgun start.

Beach Grove Golf and Country Club will host the activity. Each ticket holder will be given the complimentary use of a golf cart, and they can try their luck in one of the skill testing competitions. An even split raffle and other fun are on the agenda, and the proceeds will be donated to local charitable causes. The presenting sponsor is Advance Business Systems. It will follow a four-person scramble format.

At the time of writing, sponsors are still being sought for this popular event. Anyone interested can contact lridgewell@weareunited.com. The branding of an activity’s supporters is often incorporated into the decor, gifts and the promotional materials prepared for the occasion by a poster printing company.

The third annual United Way Charity Golf Tournament will give Windsor golfers one last chance to get in the swing of things this season on September 29th. The registration fee starts at $275.00.
