Windsor invited to take a step back in time

The Windsor area will be paying tribute to its agricultural past this year by hosting an autumn festival, and it will be filled with activities that hark to its history as a farming community.

The Harvest and Horses Festival will be making its return, and many of the activities on the agenda are ones that would have been enjoyed by the pioneers. Children, adult and senior tickets are available, and a money-saving family pass may be purchased.

The occasion will see members of the public watch demonstrations of a variety of crafting and homemaking techniques that were once in use, and they can try their hand at drying apples, pressing cider, stuffing sausages and making crafts from corn husks. In the attic, they can sit in on a scary story, and Scotty’s BBQ food truck will be rolling in so that the attendees can order lunch on site. Tickets will only be on offer in advance.

A historically themed occasion such as this one may benefit from the services of area Print shops. They can prepare decor that has a period look and feel, which can help the guests to feel like they have stepped into the past.

The Harvest and Horses Festival will begin at 11:00 am on October 2nd. Anyone who would like to reserve their tickets is welcome to do so now.
