Windsor festival to celebrate Canadian dish

Considered by many to be Canada’s national dish, poutine will be the star of the show during a Windsor festival that will welcome area foodies.

Poutine Fest is making a tour across the province this summer, and ticketholders will be able to sample from over 100 different styles of this popular dish. There will be options for vegans to hardcore meat lovers, and those who follow a gluten-free diet will also find selections to choose from.

While many of the recipes that will be on offer include the basic cheese curds, fries and gravy, other sauces will be used as well. Various toppings, such as pulled pork and even maritime lobster, will be on the menu, and the food will be paired with live entertainment and fun for the kids.

New for this year, a VIP option will be available. Each will admit two attendees and entitle them to tableside service in a designated area. The package also includes poutine, two non-alcoholic drinks and a bag of swag. Such swag Bags often include Corporate Gifts supplied by the vendors in attendance.

This year's Windsor Poutine Fest will be bringing food and fun to the city’s Riverfront Festival Plaza from June 9th to June 12th. Each day will begin at 11:00 am, and the whole family is welcome to attend.
