Windsor event to show Canadian pride

Canada Day is a time to celebrate being Canadian, and an upcoming Windsor event will be showcasing the city’s national pride.

Downtown Windsor will be the location for the city’s annual Canada Day Parade, and it will be joined by a Family Fun Zone. The venue for this will be the corner of Ouellette Avenue and University West.

The parade will include a wide variety of participants, including marching bands, floats, horses, inflatables and other entries. The theme for this year is “Canada Day in Downtown Windsor”, and the spectators are advised to head to the procession route in plenty of time to get a good seat. As well as the parade, there will be lots of other fun. Members of the public can enjoy a cupcake, try out games, take in some entertainment and more. Everyone is encouraged to wear red and white in honour of the country’s birthday.
