While most people appreciate a hearty meal, many may not be aware of all the work that goes into growing the food on their plate. A Windsor area event will seek to change that, and all ages can participate in this event, which will be both tasty and educational.
The whole family is welcome to head to Jobin Farms in Tecumseh to be part of Ontario’s Breakfast on the Farm, which is being offered to the public thanks to support from Farm and Food Care Ontario. It will include a farm tour, meal, and chance to chat with area farmers and others who work in the agricultural sector, as well as time to explore a variety of farming equipment.
The morning will begin at 9:00 am, and the day will kick off with a hearty breakfast that showcases some of the province’s agricultural commodities. The guest can tour the farm and meet the animals who call it home, and they can also ask questions and learn how the farm operates. There is no fee to participate in this activity, but those who are interested are asked to reserve their tickets ahead of time, as they will not be available at the gate.
By bringing together representatives of the province’s agricultural sector with the public that enjoys the products they grow, and event like this can be a real learning experience. Signs can help to keep the day running smoothly, and a printing services provider will have lots of options for these to choose from.
June 22 will see Jobin Farms host this year’s Ontario’s Breakfast on the Farm event. Tickets can be pre-booked through its online listing.
