Every year, migrating monarch butterflies pass through Windsor on their way to and from the south, and an upcoming activity will give the public a way to capture the spectacle.
Walkerville Artists’ Co-op has planned a paint afternoon, and participants will paint their own piece featuring a colourful monarch butterfly. All skill levels are welcome, and the organizers explained it can be a great opportunity to learn some new techniques and meet others who enjoy working with brush and canvas.
Each participant will receive a prepared canvas, which has the background applied and an outline of the butterfly included. This way, attendees will be able to focus on learning techniques such as blending and colour choice. The class will be led by Steph Mason, who is artist from the Windsor area.
To help make the session safe for everyone, the organizers have requested that masks be worn and social distancing practices be observed. The class can be attended by anyone aged 12 upwards. Stationery printers can supply safety waivers and other types of business Forms that can be used during this type of event.
This class, which may be of interest to painters of all skill levels, will be on offer on September 6th. It will be taking place at the Walkers Artists’ Co-op, which can be found at 1974 Wyandotte Street East.Get a Free Quote for Forms Get a Free Quote for Stationery
