Volunteers set to take to Windsor street corners

A team of volunteers will be fanning out throughout Windsor this July to raise funds for an organization that helps animals in need of protection, care and a loving home.

The Windsor/Essex Humane Society has made arrangements to hold its ‘Strays on Streetcorners’ campaign, which will see a group volunteer to stand on street corners collecting donations for the organization. It will give the public a chance to do a good turn for the furry, scaly and feathery members of the community.

The monies collected will be used to help meet the expenses of the society’s day-to-day operations and raise awareness about animal welfare issues in the area. It will also be utilized to pay for emergency care and other medical treatment for the animals in its charge, and help fund the spay or neuter clinic and adoptions programs it offers.

Those who will be lending the initiative a helping hand will be assigned to various sidewalks across the city. A printing services provider will be able to supply custom signage, clothing, Banners, collection containers, and other items for an event like this.

The campaign will be taking place in Windsor starting on July 12 and it will run up until to July 14. The public has been asked to be on the lookout for the volunteers and to make a generous donation to the cause.
