Road improvements planned for Windsor neighborhood

The city is making moves to combat traffic problems in the Windsor neighborhood bordering North Talbot Road and 6th Concession Road.

An environmental assessment will be conducted into the impact that road upgrades could have to the area, and these will be used to plan for the future.

Currently, the road has no sidewalks or ditches and is very narrow for the level of traffic that utilizes it on a daily basis. It has never been improved since it was built as a rural road many years ago.

Area residents are invited to find out more and have their say at an open house to be held at the Roseland Golf and Curling Club later this week. They will be able to meet up with project managers to give their input and discuss any concerns and suggestions that they may have. Attendees will also be given information to take home and read at their leisure.

The public input will be combined with the information from the environmental assessment and then used to create several different alternatives for road upgrades. These will then be shown the public at another open house at a later date.

The final results will be presented to the city council at the end of the year.

An event like this can be made much more effective through the use of full color printed information Booklets and Posters. All of these can be obtained from a professional printing company.

The open house will take place February 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
