St. Clair’s College will be performing Merry Christmas 1967 this month at the Chrysler Theatre in Windsor.
As the college continues to celebrate its’ 50th anniversary year, faculty and students from the Arts Department will be honoring the history of the school by conducting three performances of the beloved classic ‘Merry Christmas 1967’.
St. Clair’s College was established in 1967, so the musical will pay homage by transporting audience members back to this simpler time. Theatre dwellers will be treated to classic 60s musical numbers with choreographed dance. Hit songs from famous musical artists like Stevie Wonder and the Beatles will be revamped into new smash hits.
Printing services are often used to create souvenir programs for this special three-show event, which will be hosted by downtown Windsor’s Chrysler Theatre.
Opening night will be tomorrow, December 14, and will feature dinner and the show beginning at 7:30 PM. Additional performances are scheduled for Friday, December 15 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 PM.
Adult tickets are available for $20 each plus taxes, and student tickets are half price at $10 plus taxes. Tickets are available from the theatre website at www.chryslertheatre.com.
The Chrysler Theatre is located with the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, at 201 Riverside Drive West. The theatre is dedicated to nurturing excellence in the arts by providing a venue for local artists to be seen and heard.
