Festival offers lots of fun for dog lovers

The Woofa-Roo Pet Fest is taking place next month, hosted by the Windsor Star.

The festival is open to humans and their dogs (one dog per person only), and there will be a number of events to enjoy. There will be dog diving exhibitions, agility displays from the Border City Barkers, lure coursing and a flyball tournament. A pet psychic will be on hand to give readings and pets can compete in the trick show or the costume contest. The Pet-ucation Center will have information from local vets, shelters and rescue organizations.

Other activities will be a silent auction, an appearance by the Elite Windsor Police K9 Unit, a wildlife rescue show and a treasure hunt. Visitors can also Meet the Breeds, visit adoption corner or attend a seminar about solving separation anxiety in dogs. There will also be food trucks, a cafe and pet-related vendors selling a variety of items. For the kids, there will be face painting, pony rides and baby animals.

Windsor printing companies are frequently asked to help advertise events like this by providing Posters or Flyers.

The Woofa-Roo Pet Fest will be held at the Libro Center from August 8 to 9 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM each day. Admission is $5 per person or $10 for a car. Call 519-903-5500 to learn more.
