The Woofra-Roo Pet Fest is coming to the Windsor area this August.
Visitors are free to take their dogs with them, as long as they are leashed, to enjoy a variety of activities.
Several pet rescue organizations will be on hand and there will even be an adoption corner with lots of pets looking for a good home. Visitors can also get their pictures taken with Zeus or Morgan, two of the world’s tallest dogs.
The Ultimate Air Dogs Canada will be performing, and there will be Border City Barkers agility and Windsor Police K9 unit demonstrations. Further, people can sign their dogs up to take part in all-breed lure coursing.
There will also be plenty of children's activities such as pony rides, face painting, and a parrot show. Vendors and artisans will also be selling pet and people-related items. A charity treasure hunt and silent auction will raise funds for local rescue organizations.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to talk to health professionals in the Pet-ucation Center, or take in musical entertainment from Kelsi and Darin.
Organizers have likely invested in printing services from Windsor companies to help decorate the venue and to advertise it in the community.
The Woofra-Roo Pet Fest is taking place at the Libro Complex in Amherstburg from August 9th to 10th. Admission is $3 and free for those under the age of five; various activities will have an additional cost. Visit the official event website for more information.
