BASF employees, supporters and other special guests recently came together to celebrate their 30th year as part of the Windsor business community.
Situated on the corner of Crawford Avenue and Wyandotte Street West, the well known supplier of paint for the automotive industry hosted an open house to help mark the occasion. Many of its employees were on hand for the barbecue lunch, lab sessions for the kids, tours of the site and also a group of visual displays that highlighted the history of the company in the city. A banner printing firm can create special decorations that have been custom designed just for the occasion, as well as certificates of appreciation for the staff, coloring sheets for the kids, and any other items that are required.
The president of the firm also came out to share in the festivities and pay homage to the 150 people who work at the site. He noted that the company and its employees take great pride in what they do, and he wanted their families to be able to share in that. He further went on to note that this particular BASF operation is one of the three largest of the thirteen in the country.
According to Darryl Ferguson, who is the site manager, he feels that the Windsor plant will add ten percent more employees over the next five years.
