Annual fundraising campaign set to kick off in Windsor

One of the country’s most recognizable charitable campaigns will soon be up and running for another year in Windsor.

The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign raises money to support a variety of community based charitable projects, and there will be 17 locations in Windsor where the public donate. The funds raised will stay in the local area and will help disadvantaged individuals and families.

The organizers explained that the programming it offers to those in need will be grass roots and client driven, and each dollar contributed to the campaign can make a difference. They also said that volunteers are needed to ensure the campaign will be a success, and those interested can have their name added to the contact list.

Fundraisers of this sort depend on the support of the community, and often a poster printing company helps spread the word. It can create publications that let potential donors know how and where their contributions will make an impact, and these can be posted in locations throughout the local area.

The organizers of Windsor’s Christmas Kettle campaign noted that volunteers will begin to be called to book their time slots starting in October. More details, as well as a chance to sign up to the roster of helpers, can be found on the Salvation Army's website.
