Whitby is home to some of the country’s top ‘kidpreneurs’, and these future business leaders are invited to set up shop in an event that will help them explore the basics of starting their own company from scratch.
Young people are invited to register for the Children's Business Fair, which will be open to the public this summer. Youngsters can reserve their space, design their booth and set it up, marketing whatever products they wish. In previous years, sellers have offered everything from lemonade to collectibles and handmade items, and it tends to be a popular event.
This pop-up market is accepting booth reservations from kids who are between six and 16, and it can give them a chance to learn valuable skills they can use in their day-to-day life. Reservations start at $20, and each team can have up to three people.
One of the business skills that an event like this can teach young people is the importance of choosing which companies to use to supply them with marketing materials, Packaging and other printed products. Print shops can offer all of these and many other services, and can also give these budding entrepreneurs helpful tips and other advice.
This year’s Whitby Children’s Business Fair has been scheduled for August 30th, so the kids can take part before school resumes for the fall. It will be held in a location yet to be determined.Get a Free Quote for Packaging Get a Free Quote for Print
