Whitbys Food Truck Frenzy a gourmands delight

Whitby’s Iroquois Park recently played host to a celebration that attracted the attention of food lovers from all over the city and the surrounding rea.

The event, named ‘Gourmet Food Truck Frenzy’, was staged by the Rotary Club of Whitby, and saw more than two dozen food trucks serve hungry customers.

They had a chance to enjoy some of their favorites and also try something new, with choices ranging from fish tacos to pulled pork, burgers, and more.

Along with the main course fare, there was also plenty of dessert options for those with a sweet tooth. Poster printing firms can create Menus and other promotional items that can withstand harsh conditions, which makes them ideal for use in outdoor events.

Last year, the event was so popular that over 30,000 people came out to take part and many of the vendors ran out of food, so this year, they took steps to make sure that wouldn’t happen. Though the lines were long, it was reported that they moved along quickly.

Monies raised during the day were donated to several local not-for-profit groups, such as the Whitby Abilities Centre, Feed the Need, the Whitby Library, and Their Opportunity, plus several others. Last year, $50,000 was raised and the organizers hoped this year would be just as much of a success.
