The Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Whitby is set to welcome golfers for a fundraiser that will support the work of a vital local institution.
Durham Region Hospice meets the needs of the local area for both individuals and families at the end of life. The Chip In for Durham Hospice golf outing will be an afternoon of camaraderie and networking out on the course. One of the projects that the tournament’s charity of choice has on the horizon is the construction of a 10-bed hospice facility, and proceeds from the event will help make that a reality.
The day will begin with a barbecue lunch before the play opens with a shotgun start. Those who are interested can sign up as part of a foursome. However, if players choose to participate on their own, they will be assigned to a group, as long as space permits. A cocktail hour will give everyone a chance to relax, unwind, and keep the fun going. This will be followed by dinner and an awards presentation.
As well as raising vital funds, the event is an opportunity to meet new people and make fascinating connections. For this reason, many players may choose to bring business cards along with them when they register for a charity tournament or mixer of this kind.
The Chip In for Durham Hospice event will hit the course on September 12th. Tee off time is currently scheduled for 1:30 pm.
