An upcoming event series will allow those in Whitby to experience a drive-in movie experience.
The city will be hosting its Movies in the Park summer series, which will see family friendly flicks shown on a large outdoor screen at Whitby Civic Park. To help build public engagement, the organizers have set up a voting system where people can choose which film they would like to see, and both current and retro titles may be shown.
Anyone interested is welcome to secure their spot, set up a folding chair or blanket and get comfortable. The sound will be concert quality, and the curtain will go up at dusk. There are four nights on the agenda, and attendees are welcome to bring along a selection of food and beverages to enjoy. The movie nights will be on offer free of charge.
Community movie nights and other fun activities like this may be promoted to a community in a variety of ways. Poster printing is often used to market such activities, with Posters displayed throughout a local area.
