The Salvation Army engages in charitable activities throughout the year, and a Whitby fundraiser will give the public a fun way to support its efforts.
The organization is offering the public a chance to register for its Santa Shuffle fundraising run, and both in person and virtual options are available. They will both take place in early December, and it is part of a national effort to fund the group’s projects, which include feeding programs, support for the homeless and other initiatives that meet the needs of underserved populations in the community.
Both individual and team registrations are available, and an Elf Walk is also in the works for the kids. Each participant will receive a finisher’s medal with a specially prepared holiday graphic design, and there will be other prizes presented to those who reach various fundraising goals.
The runners and walkers in this activity will each be presented with a specially designed long-sleeve T-shirt that resembles an ugly Christmas sweater. These sorts of Corporate Gifts may be ordered from a local Print shop, which will also have lots of tips for the organizers of such an event.
The annual Whitby Santa Shuffle will be warmly welcoming the arrival of the holidays on December 4th and 5th. Its event listing on Running Room offers more details for those interested.
