Whitby hockey fans are set to be treated to an event that will pit former NHL players with some everyday local heroes, and it promises to offer lots of fun and laughter.
The Whitby Professional Firefighters will be facing off against the Pro Hockey Heroes, and this annual event is often quite popular. It will give these amateur players a chance to test their skills against the former pros, and it will be a charitable activity.
The charity of choice for the game will be Durham Regional Crimestoppers, and the puck will drop at 7:30 pm. The doors will open an hour ahead of this, and the activity is set to take place in the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby. The ticket prices this year start at $33.90 plus tax, and they can be printed at home or picked up at the venue’s box office. The game will run for two hours.
