Whitby to host evening of Canada Day fun

Whitby will soon be rolling out the red-and-white carpet for the attendees at its Canada Day celebration, and a full evening of festivities is in the works for the community.

The city will be celebrating with an event planned for Victoria Fields. It will run for four hours, and the final touch to the occasion will be a colourful fireworks display that will begin at dusk.

The family-friendly affair will see the crowd enjoy balloon artists and face painters, as well as live entertainment, and as there will be lots of photo opportunities, parents may want to make sure they have their camera or phone handy. Everyone can bring along a blanket or chair so they can sit back and watch the aerial display, and food trucks and a specially selected soundtrack to accompany the fireworks are all in the works.

Local celebrations can help to build strong communities. A poster printing company will be able to make sure as many as possible know about an upcoming event by preparing attention-grabbing marketing materials.

Whitby will be wishing Canada a very happy birthday with this gathering beginning at 4:00 pm on July 1st. The fireworks will be set off at 10:00 pm, and more details about the venue and timings can be found the City of Whitby website.
