Whitby is well known for its festive events, and one that is fast approaching will celebrate what it means to be Canadian.
The community will be offering an evening of Canada Day fun at Victoria Fields Park, and it will have activities for all ages. Several local companies, including Elexicon Energy, Renewal by Anderson, Mattamy Homes as well as Community Connections have signed on as sponsors, and there will be lots of hands-on excitement.
Community members are encouraged to pack a folding chair or blanket, as well as their favourite snacks, so they can set up a comfortable spot for the festivities. There will be a wide variety of photo ops, live music, food trucks and other activities, and once the sun has set, the fireworks will take to the sky for a colorful display.
