Whitby to be stop on quilting machine roadshow

Whitby quilters and others from across the GTA who would like to get some first-hand experience with quilting machines may want to save space in their spring agenda for a local event.

The Longarm Roadshow Experience has a stop scheduled for Whitby, and it will give the public an opportunity to meet its longarm sewing machines. There will be an assortment of models on display, and for the safety of all, the attendees will be asked to wear a mask and stay socially distanced.

The registrants at the free function, which has a scheduled run time of three and a half hours, will be introduced to longarm-style machines, and the organizer has explained that it can be a good chance for anyone who has never used one before to decide if it is right for them. The accessories for each will be reviewed, and both the private and business worlds are encouraged to take part.

As space in the session is limited, advanced registration is required. Everyone will be going home with an assortment of resources to use for their own projects, and these types of materials can be ordered from area printing services companies.

The APQS Longarm Roadshow will be making a stop in Whitby on June 5th, and it will start at 11:00am. Whirls N Swirls Quilting will be providing space for the occasion.
