Whitby’s Lake Ridge Community Support Services has organized a function for those who work with people with autism and similar disabilities, and it will look at the elements involved from the perspective of the educator.
The Stone Soup Conference will bring a variety of speakers to the podium, and they will each share their own expertise on the subject at hand. The keynote address will be given by Judah Axe, Ph.D., who will discuss techniques that can be effective tools for teaching those who are with such disabilities.
The day-long symposium, which will be offered online, will include time for networking, and attendees will be able to book a virtual lunchtime meeting with their colleagues. Just as with many in person conferences, there will be breakout sessions, and continuing education credits may be available for those who take part.
Although many events of this type have been converted to a virtual format in the wake of the pandemic, participants can still benefit from having hardcopy materials to include in their own personal resource library. Print shops are often asked to supply these sorts of materials, and can produce them to its customers’ specifications.
