Whitby quilters and anyone else who would like to find out about some of the latest developments in machine sewing are welcome to add their names to the list of attendees for the APQS Roadshow that will be taking over a local crafting shop.
APQS produces a variety of equipment for those who enjoy sewing as a hobby or as a source of income, and it will be displaying its long arm machines during the day. It is free to attend, and the participants will be offered an opportunity to test drive the machines for themselves.
The activity is intended for anyone who is new to long arm sewing machines or who would like to upgrade to a newer model. The seminar will be filled with tips and information, and this will be paired with details about local sources for thread, batting, templates and manuals. Anyone who would like to find out how one of the models may help them to grow their business will be able to do so, and maintenance is on the agenda for discussion as well.
Workshops like this may be helpful to those who are hoping to upgrade their skills and knowledge. Handouts are often distributed during these events, and may be prepared by area brochure printing companies.
