Whitby market to offer end of summer shopping fun

As Whitby prepares to say farewell to another summer, its community of artists and other vendors will be setting up shop for a pop up makers market.

The organizers of the “Vendors and Views” local vendors market will be providing space for a wide variety of small businesses to showcase what they have on offer, and the listing for the activity explained that the function will be hosted in a picturesque setting. The public is welcome to enter free of charge, and to thank them for coming out, the first 25 attendees to make a purchase will go home with a cloth shopping tote printed with a fun graphic design.

A with many pop up style markets, the more sellers there are, the better it can be. An application form has been made available to anyone who would like to get involved, and if they choose to apply, they will be asked to provide information about what they plan on selling and other details. The fee to book a space is $110 each plus HST, and anyone who sells food will have to have at least one representative on site who has completed a recognized Food Handlers course.

This opportunity for Whitby’s small businesses to potentially expand their customer base scheduled for August 27th. It will be held at Ashburn View Properties, situated at 7632 Ashburn Road.
