Whitby Civic Park and Celebration Square are about to get into the holiday spirit, and they will light up the night throughout the holiday season.
The town will be getting winter off to a festive start when the switch is thrown on its light displays. At least 100,000 have been installed, and as part of the celebration, the area will be hosting the Whitby Lights the Night Christmas Festival.
The fun will take place in Civic Park, and the guests can enjoy the festivities before they head out to view the lights once the sun goes down. There will be spots for photo opportunities, and everyone is encouraged to stop in at one of the local restaurants and shops to support the community. The displays will be lit each evening from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
Cities and towns all across Canada will be marking the holiday season with special displays and activities that have a festive theme. A local provider of banner printing services will be able to offer a variety of options when it comes to choosing appropriate outdoor décor for events such as this that can withstand exposure to the elements.
Whitby has invited everyone to drop by and be part of its Whitby Lights the Night celebration from November 25th until January 4th.
