Whitby residents wondering about what goes on inside some of its most iconic buildings will soon have an opportunity to take a sneak peek behind their doors.
For one day, a selection of public and private buildings across the city will be opening their doors to the public, and they are invited to explore, all free of charge. There will be an assortment of participants, and many of the locations will be historically significant to the community.
This event is being hosted as part of the Doors Open Ontario initiative, and many of the buildings will have personnel on site to answer questions and share stories about its present and past. A list of stops will be prepared ahead of the occasion, and the public can plan their route before they head out.
The organizers of this initiative explained that there will be ‘Doors Open’ signage posted to help those who plan on taking part to locate the various stops. A banner printing company will be able to prepare Signs for this sort of occasion, even crafting them from materials that can withstand being out in inclement weather.
Doors Open Whitby will be giving the public a chance to learn more about their community on October 24th. The city's website includes the most up to date details.Get a Free Quote for Signs
