The York Region SPCA provides vital services to animals in need of care and protection, and to help fund its efforts, it has organized an activity it hopes will hit a hole in one.
Whitby golfers are being invited to register for the Ontario SPCA Paws and Putts Charity Golf Classic, which will be held at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge. The Humane Society of Durham Region will also be jointly hosting the fundraiser, and it will offer participants a full day of fun.
The registrants for the day will be able to play 18 holes of golf, and the play will open with a shotgun start. The play will follow best ball format, and everyone will receive a special welcome gift to thank them for their support, as well as breakfast and lunch. An assortment of prizes will be presented.
As golf is a popular activity, fundraisers that incorporate the game can be quite successful. Print shops can prepare an assortment of custom gifts to present to the players in such tournaments.
The Ontario SPCA Paws and Putts Charity Golf Classic will be providing a day of fun in the sun in support of animals in need on Tuesday, September 24th. It will open for the day at 8:00 am and finish up at 5:00 pm.
