A new exhibition is coming to Whitby’s Station Gallery.
The showing will contain the works of Jessica Field, an artist based in Durham. Her pieces will be centered on the theme of the interplay between
determination, technology and freedom of choice.
The items on display in the show, entitled “Parabolic Constructs”, will be grouped into three themes: Monoliths, Field Studies and Photodynamic Art Generator. A booklet printing company will work with galleries to produce Brochures or Flyers that can describe to visitors the different pieces on display and explain the meaning behind them, as well as give more information about the artist.
Ms. Field graduated from Concordia University, and has had exhibitions of her work in European countries such as Switzerland, Sweden and Austria. She is currently teaching at Ryerson University on a part time basis, and also runs workshops for different art galleries throughout the area.
The exhibit will be on display at Station Gallery from January 16th until March 27th. It is located at 1450 Henry Street in Whitby. It is open seven days a week, from 10:00 to 4:30 from Mondays to Fridays, from 10:00 until 9:00 on Thursdays and 12:00 until 4:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. There is no charge to visit the gallery.
