Harbour Day, considered to be Durham County's largest waterfront festival, is taking place this month.
The event, which is a presentation of the Town of Whitby, is set to feature a number of family friendly activities during the afternoon. This will include water skiing shows, boating displays, sailing school demonstrations, rides on a water shuttle, and live musical entertainment. Visitors can take part in arts and crafts activities or the Dragon Boat Experience. The Whitby Yacht Club is also holding an open house. In addition, community organizations will be on hand to provide information about their programs and services.
Children's activities will include the Station Gallery kids’ program and art projects; these activities will run until 5:00pm.
To wrap up the afternoon's fun, visitors will be treated to a nautical Parade of Light and a fireworks grand finale.
Sponsorships are available, and it is likely that the sponsors will be recognized in some way at the event. The organizers may decide to invest in a service such as banner printing, to acknowledge those who made the day possible. These Banners can be displayed in high traffic areas.
