Durham College to host Fall Open House

Whitby’s Durham College provides a post-secondary education option for those in the surrounding areas, and an open house has been planned to give prospective students and their families a sneak peek into all that it offers.

The Fall Open House will let those who are deciding on their future see the different programs, supports and other benefits that makes Durham College special. Visitors will be able to tour its Centre For Food, which is the area’s first educational facility that puts a spotlight on the concept of farm-to-fork food production and preparation. The schools of engineering technology and science, renewable technology, engineering technology, skilled trades and apprentice training will also be open.

Those who come out can find out more about the school’s high tech equipment and classrooms, and talk members of the faculty and administration and those who are currently pursuing their studies. Brochures can be printed for an event such as this that will give prospective students further information to help them learn more about the institution.

The open house will be held on November 12, and anyone who is considering participating can sign up to do so on its registration website. Those who do will be able to avoid the lineups on the day of the event and get a head start at seeing all that the college has to offer them.
