Tradeshow to turn the page on catalog printing

The future of catalog printing and the next chapter in Canada’s Print industry will be discussed at Print World 2010, Nov. 20 to 22 at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Organizers of the annual Print tradeshow, which has been held annually in Toronto since 1986, have lined up industry heavy weights as keynote speakers. That includes Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.

Romano has 50 years of experience in the publishing and printing industry and is the pioneer author of 46 Books, including ground breaking texts on InDesign, QuarkXPress and PDF workflow. Well travelled throughout the printing world, Romano will dispense advice on software, printing “green” and using technology to gain the catalog printing advantage.

Romano will speak on day two of the Print World 2010 conference and will lay out a roadmap for the future of printing and ways for catalog printing to compete and perhaps dominate the electronic catalog sector.

Another keynote speaker in Toronto will be the CEO of the cutting edge Print-on-demand website Lulu.com, Bob Young. Young is a relative newcomer to the Print industry but promises to offer fresh new ideas for even the most seasoned catalog printing veterans.

Both keynotes are free with your Print World Admission. Over 200 exhibitors will take up 125,000 square feet of floor space at the Toronto show. Visit printworldshow.com and click on the “Floor Plans” tab to find reps from the catalog printing industry.
