Toronto Zoo offers blood donor day

The Toronto Zoo will be kicking off August with an event that may help save a life, and anyone who would like to roll up their sleeves and get involved will be welcome.

A limited number of spaces are available in the Blood Drive that will be on offer at the Zoo, and it will be set up in the Special Events Centre within its Discovery Zone. It will be run by Canadian Blood Services, and appointments are available across a four-hour period..

Everyone who registers for this donation drive will receive free Zoo access and parking for the day, but they will need to present proof of their appointment. It is recommended that donors eat and drink before their appointment, and when they arrive, they will be checked in and undergo a short health screening. If all goes well, they can donate blood before resting with some light refreshments and then heading out for the rest of their day. Both first-time and experienced blood donors are welcome to attend.

Promoting a special event like this to the local area can be made easier with assistance from a poster printing company. It can supply options at various price points.

The Blood Drive at your Toronto Zoo! initiative will run from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm on Monday, August 3rd. Appointments can be secured through the Canadian Blood Services portal.
