As more wildlife moves into the city, Toronto residents may be wondering how to co-exist with these animals, and an upcoming workshop can help point the way.
The Horticultural Societies of Parkdale and Toronto give home horticulturalists and other plant fans opportunities to learn and connect. It has organized an evening that will cover co-existing with an assortment of wild animals, and the presenter for the occasion will be Toronto Wildlife Centre’s Victoria Badham.
During the Coexisting with Urban Wildlife talk, Badham will discuss how species such as coyotes, skunks, rabbits, opossums and even hawks have found ways to live in the city, and everyone will walk away knowing how to offer them a welcome while also keeping them, and people, safe. It will include best practices and tips, and everyone is encouraged to attend. The activity will take place in person, and a Zoom option will also be available. There will be a social hour before the presentation.
Events that include a presentation or other learning opportunities may cover a lot of information, leaving its audience eager to find out more. A brochure printing company can prepare handouts that give them a chance to do so.
This opportunity to discover how easy it can be for people and wildlife to share urban spaces is scheduled for March 30th at Bonar Parkdale Presbyterian Church. The social hour will kick off at 6:30 pm.
