Torontos iconic CNE returns for another season

Locals can delight their taste buds and peruse worldly treasures at the International Pavilion when the annual Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) returns to Toronto later this month for 18 days of fun.

The event was founded in 1879 and named the Toronto Industrial Exhibition. It was a place where people checked out the leading innovations in technology, agriculture, and commercial products, as well as the greatest performers of the time. In 1912, the fair’s name changed to the Canadian National Exhibition to better reflect how it had evolved, and has grown to become Canada’s largest community event.

Highlights of the fair include introducing patrons to Edison’s phonograph in 1888 and television in 1939, as well as virtual reality in 1992. Today, the event is a favourite tradition of Torontonians and people from surrounding communities.

Since the fair’s inception, a number of support services, such as Print companies, have been kept busy printing Posters, Flyers, pamphlets, Banners, and tickets. Events of this nature are still heavily supported by Print, with digital techniques involved to enhance the medium.

Set to take place August 21, advance tickets for the event can be purchased online on the CNE’s website, and buyers will receive Express Entry at the CNE gate. An Admission Pass is $14 and a Ride All Day Pass is $38.
