A Toronto event that will raise funds to support men’s mental health as well as cancer treatment and research will give its music fans lots to talk about, and in previous years, it's been a sell out celebration.
The Battle of the Bands, which is on offer thanks to the efforts of the Toronto Professional Firefighters Association, will feature a lineup of performers from across the city. To date, the concert has raised $50,000 for Movember Canada in support of men’s health, and tickets start at $30.00 each.
Along with raising money, the event will be about raising awareness of PTSD and other mental illnesses as well as the importance of cancer screening. It's for those age 19 and up, and eight bands will be performing tunes from an assortment of genres including indie, country and rock. There will also be draws for a variety of raffle prizes, and the event will be held at The Opera house, which can be found at 735 Queen Street East.
Organizing a successful fundraiser often includes choosing effective marketing materials that will leave lots left over for the cause. A poster printing company can prepare a wide selection of promotional materials, and can offer both single and multiple use options.
The Toronto Firefighters Battle of the Bands is scheduled for November 22nd. The doors will open at 6:00 pm.
