Toronto workshop to focus on hearing loss

The Barbara Frum Public Library is set to host a brief seminar that will outline some of the latest developments in support and services for those who are hearing impaired.

Hearing loss is a challenge faced by many who live in and around Toronto and not being able to hear conversation and sounds in the environment can make life difficult.

The Canadian Hearing Society has partnered with Toronto Public Library to offer the hour-long event. It will provide attendees with lots of information and other resources, and it is intended for both English and Russian speaking audiences.

During the Hearing Care Counseling session, members of the public will learn about ways they can overcome the challenges hearing loss can present as they go about their daily life. They will also be able to meet others in their community who are coping with the same problem so they can build connections with people who understand and support one another.

The workshop, which will be held in Room B, will begin at 2:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Events like this often turn to a brochure printing company that can prepare Presentation Folders and other documents so that it will be easy to give informational materials to participants.

The community learning event will take place on March 7th and it is free of charge.
