For more than 100 years, Toronto has hosted a holiday parade that brings the city together, and this well-loved celebration will make its return later this month.
The Toronto Santa Claus Parade, which was first sponsored by Eatons, will once again delight the GTA. It will start at the Christie Pits and wind its way along Bloor Street to University Avenue, then heading to Yonge Street, before it wraps up at the St. Lawrence Market.
The parade, which was first held in 1905, will include marching bands, floats, costumed characters and other entries, and many of them will be lit with lots of lights or even be animated. People of all cultures and backgrounds can enjoy the festivities, and 150 local business and community leaders will be participating incognito as celebrity clowns.
As with many large community events, the Santa Claus Parade depends on the generous spirit of corporate sponsors from across the GTA. The Logo Design of these companies are on display on the parade’s website, which also offers information for any businesses that would like to add their name to the list.
This year’s Santa Claus Parade will be delighting young and old alike on November 26th. Everyone is invited to bundle up, find their spot along its route and join in the fun of the festivities.
