This November, music fans from all across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be heading to a Toronto venue for a night that will have everyone on their feet enjoying live music.
El Mocambo, located at 464 Spadina Avenue, will be rolling out the red carpet for the Battle of the Bands fundraiser, which will raise money for Movember. While it will offer a great time to those who take part, it will also have a serious side, as it will serve as an awareness-raiser for various issues that can impact men’s health.
Battle of the Bands, which is being organized by the Toronto Professional Firefighters’ Association, will boast music in a wide assortment of genres, from folk to rock to country. The the last two years of the event were sell outs , with at least $30,000 being raised for a variety of health-related initiatives. The event is for those age 19 and up, and to add even more fun, a raffle draw is in the works.
