The Bloor West Food Bank serves as a lifeline for Toronto residents facing food insecurity, and it will be the beneficiary of the proceeds raised through the ticket sales for an upcoming theatre event.
All of the proceeds from ticket sales for the production of Neil Simon’s “Rumours”, which will be staged at The Village Playhouse will be donated to the food bank.
While the audience enjoy the comedic play, they will be helping their neighbours in need. There will be a 15-minute intermission, and light snacks will be available for purchase during this time. Anyone who would like to make a monetary contribution will be able to do so on site.
Those organizing a fundraiser may find that local Print shops can be helpful in creating budget-friendly promotional materials to spread the word throughout a community.
Tickets are priced at $35.00, plus any applicable fees and taxes. It is being performed by the Village Players, and tickets are only available through its Eventbrite listing or from the food bank. Monetary donations may also be made online by anyone who would like to help but is unable to attend in person.
