Gardeners from across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) can soon head to a Toronto area plant sale to score some savings, and while they shop, they will be helping to support the activities of the Etobicoke Horticultural Society.
The organization has been hard at work getting ready for its annual fundraiser, and the selected venue for the day will be the Fairfield Seniors Centre. The only items the shoppers will need to bring is a basket, tray or box to hold their purchases; a list of plants they are interested in; and the money they wish to spend.
The flora on offer will include a wide assortment of perennials, ranging from shade varieties to sun-loving cultivars. Trees, shrubs, annuals and house plants will be in the mix as well, and there will be volunteers on hand to aid in selection and offer tips and helpful advice.
Along with the plants, those who attend the function will be able to purchase tools and accessories, and refreshments will be served. Flyer printing services are often employed to advertise a local event such as this.
The Etobicoke Horticultural Society’s Giant Annual Plant Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th at the Fairfield Seniors Centre. It will run from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and it is set to take place rain or shine.
