Toronto gears up for winter celebration

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is returning to Toronto for 10 days in November. The fair has been held in the city since 1922 and attracts around 300,000 visitors each year.

There are lots of activities and events which take place at the event, including more than 400 competitions involving everything from square dancing to livestock. Exhibitors can showcase their animals and products while gaining the attention of new customers.

There is also a rodeo, a petting farm, a butter sculpting contest, the Amazing Food Journey - which features hands-on activities - and the Royal Poultry, Waterfowl and Pigeon Show. Ag-tivity Central will be on hand to offer children's activities such as face painting, dress-up, and mini-tractor races.

The newest area at the fair is the Royal Animal Theatre. It will feature entertainment in the form of performing horses, sheep herding, Superdogs, and 4H Rabbit Jumping. Education Centers are also being set up to provide information on such topics as beekeeping and honey, eggs, and maple syrup.

The fair is very popular among those in the Toronto area and beyond, and is widely advertised throughout Canada. Printing companies may have been involved by providing advertising products such as Posters, Brochures, and Flyers to organizers.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is being held at Exhibition Place from November 1-10, with gates open from 9:00am-9:00pm each day. Admission is $20 in advance or $23 at the door for adults, $17 or $19 for seniors and $14 or $16 for children. For more information, call 416-263-3400.
