Toronto fundraiser to take steps for scleroderma

This June, a Toronto fundraiser will work to raise money to help those living with an autoimmune disease.

There are several types of scleroderma, and the Make a Move for Scleroderma fundraising day in Toronto will both support those living with one of these illnesses and also aid in funding research. A goal of raising $35,000 has been set, and the function is being organized by Scleroderma Canada.

This in-person event will be held in Budapest Park, and it will open with check in, which will be followed by a warm-up and crowd engagement. It will then be time for the walk, and once everyone has returned to the staging area, they will be invited to linger and enjoy some refreshments. Prizes will be presented, and entertainment is in the works as well. As many people living with scleroderma may be immunocompromised, a virtual attendance option is available.

While fundraisers are intended to raise money for a cause, they also help to increase awareness of the issue being addressed. A printer can partner with event organizers to supply them with everything from swag such as T-Shirts and lanyards to a full line of banner printing and other options for signage to help spread the word.

The Toronto instalment of Make a Move for Scleroderma will be welcoming registrants starting at 9:00 am on June 24th. The walk itself will hit the road at 10:30 am.
