Toronto festival to feature frozen works of art

The cold wind may be blowing in off the lake, but that will not be enough to stop Toronto residents from enjoying an ice-themed event that will take place right in their home turf.

The annual Bloor-Yorkville Icefest is right around the corner and, this year, its theme will be “Dreams and Fantasies”. The festivities will be on offer free of charge, and the exhibits will be set up both in Village of Yorkville Park and also the rest of the Bloor-Yorkville area.

The celebration will see a wide assortment of ice sculptures on display, and it is expected that there will be at least 40 for the attendees to view and enjoy. These will be joined by interactive experiences and demonstrations of ice carving, and the Ice Lounge will offer a chance to sit back and relax. The attendees will also be treated to projections on the function's Ice Wall, while at night, a selection of the sculptures will be lit up.

When preparing for a large event like this, organizers may choose to order maps and other printed materials from area printing services companies.

The 2023 Bloor-Yorkville Icefest will be welcoming visitors on February 18th and 19th. It will be open from 12 noon until 11pm on both days. More details will be released as they become available.
