Whether they come from the country’s east or west coast, Canadian oysters are considered by many to be among the world’s best. A special occasion will see them paired with award winning Ontario wines, and there will also be music and lots of other activities to enjoy during this Toronto event.
Food and wine professionals from all across the city will be in attendance during The Great Canadian Oyster and Ontario VQA Wine Experience, which is being offered through the support of Rodney’s Oyster House. Along with the food, music and other fun, there will be prize drawings throughout the evening, and the tickets are being sold for $190.
The event will open with a Oyster and VQA Wine reception, during which the guests can mingle while they sample the beverage and shellfish pairings. Next, a four-course plated dinner will be served with additional wine pairings. Fogo crab is also on the menu, and John Szabo, who is a principal critic with WineAlign, has been selected to MC the occasion.
