Toronto event to salute to Southern food

Toronto foodies who are interested in experiencing a taste of the South may wish to make plans now to attend an event that will feature the likes of fried chicken, barbeque, and bourbon.

Boxcar Social will be the location for Toronto Common’s tribute to Southern-style cuisine. The fried chicken will be cooked in a traditional style, and for ease of eating, it will be boneless. Along with this, there will be an assortment of barbeque favorites to try, as well as all the usual sides. A selection of four bourbons that have been chosen to compliment the meal will also be served, and guests will have an opportunity to sample a barbeque sauce that has been crafted using this liquor as one of its ingredients.

The bourbon tasting portion of the evening will be led by an expert, and those who participate will be able to enjoy their drinks on the patio overlooking Lake Ontario. It will take place rain or shine, but the if the weather is bad, it will move indoors. An area printer can craft reusable pop-up Banners for use during a function such as this.

This celebration of the cuisine of the Southern U.S. states will be held on Monday, July 31. Anyone who requires additional details can find them on the Toronto Common website.
