Toronto event to celebrate all things anime

Toronto fans of Japanese animation are invited to attend an event that will celebrate all things anime.

Anime North is the largest event of its kind in the city. The three-day showcase will feature a variety of displays and vendors related to animation and culture from Japan. A selection of special guests have been booked for the weekend, ranging from Canadian and Japanese voice actors and actresses who have performed in well-known anime works, to animators and clothing designers.

Part of the expo will be the Nominoichi XI, where sellers can offer their used anime-related items and other related materials to those who may be interested in purchasing them. Sign printing services can be used to create customized signage for events such as this.

A charity auction will be held to raise funds for the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. Many of the items that will be auctioned off have been contributed by different dealers. There will also be a 65-inch LED TV, donated by LG Canada , that will be up for bids. Last year, a donation of $12,000 was made to the hospital, and organizers hope that this year’s amount will be even higher.

More information about Anime North, which is scheduled for May 27 to May 29 at the Toronto Congress Centre and International Plaza Hotel, can be found on the event’s website, along with an opportunity to buy tickets.
