The Toronto Blue Jays are in the playoffs for the first time in 22 years. The city has been buzzing as fans drove in from surrounding cities to sit in a packed Rogers Centre and enjoy the first two games of the first round.
Unfortunately, the Blue Jays lost their first two matches against the Texas Rangers, but the stadium was still filled with an animated crowd shouting cheers in support of the Jays. Printing companies were certainly kept busy printing Posters, Banners, T-Shirts and other paraphernalia for the team’s enthusiastic fans.
Not everyone was lucky enough to score tickets to the first two home games, but thousands of people watched from their offices, homes or local bars as the Jays took on the Rangers.
People are showing their support with face painting, wearing team gear, including hats and jerseys, as well as through hashtags on social media. The most popular hashtags are #GoJaysGo, #LetsGoBlueJays, #PlayoffBaseball and #BlueJays.
