Toronto fans of the anime genre have been issued a special invitation to come to a screening of Kimi no Na wa (“Your Name”) which will be shown on the big screen.
The feature, which was made by Toho Animation, will have subtitles in English. Those who come to the show are encouraged to come in their favorite cosplay outfit, and there will be prizes awarded. The costumes do not have to be from the movie, and can be from and anime series. Anyone who wears one will have their named added to the list of people eligible to win a raffle prize.
Audience members who wish to show their creative side can arrive early, as those who do can doodle or draw a picture. The Toronto Anime Film Festival staff will choose three of these, and the artists will be awarded a prize. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for $13.50, and they will also be available at the door for $15.00. Graphic design can be used to craft Posters, Flyers, and many other types of Promotional Products that can help to market an event like this to the community.
This afternoon of anime will be taking place at the Regent Theatre on December 16. More information, as well as a chance to buy passes in advance, can be found on the event’s Facebook listing.
